So... I have all the bits, sort of, just waiting on the blue veiling to arrive, oh and I haven’t put the Liberty fabric I am going to use underneath as a lining in the pic. Think I might have too many bits. Just not quite sure how to put them all together. Was thinking of a velvet base with the flowers and foliage gathered at the top. Rhinestones either on the leaves or the veiling, maybe even both.

hmmmmm

Watch this space!

So... more interest in the Queen of Hearts this week. Another request for a design similar to the one sold last week, but with the Royal Flush and a fixture enabling it to be attached to a hat. Here’s the result...

I actually like it that much I am in the process of making one with some veiling. Think this will be popular at the fair in a couple of weeks.

Now to start my entry for the Burlesque Sellers team challenge. Better late than never, deadline next Saturday, got to get a move on!

I recently joined a team, on Etsy, a team for all handmakers of costumes, accessories and props suited to the Burlesque world. Since joining I have loved seeing who joins the team, browsing through the shops and ing the items.

Recently our Captain, RedsRibbons came up with the idea of a Team Challenge. GREAT IDEA! We were given a month from the announcement of who was crowned Miss Exotic World 2011 (MEW).

Miss Indigo Blue took the prize and so the contest began. I say began, I only finished sourcing the bits and pieces for it about an hour ago. It shall begin, hopefully in the next 24 hours. I always leave it until the last minute, just hope I can create something as flamboyant and spectacular as Miss Indigo Blue!

Latest Queen of Hearts fascinator, this time requested with an elastic for extra security. Wasn’t sure the pad would work but it has... sits perfectly on the side of the head. Now to create 18 hair pieces for Ascot!
